One of three towering peaks on the southern end of the Neve Valley, Eaglesong Peak gets it name from the various birds of prey – most noticeably the bald eagles – that make their home among the high cliffs and upper reaches of the mountain. Though it is forever capped in a glacial blanket of ice, its lower half is heavily forested and curiously abundant with protected caves, making it the perfect shelter for creatures hoping to escape the harsh winter. In the warmer months, its base is bathed in a sea of blood red as the scarlet gilias come into bloom, extending as far as the eye can see to the north and offering an unusually beautiful view (and hunting ground) to those residing on the peak.
