WEEKS OF WTF... Our newest IC activity officially begins today! Click here for details and thread prompts. Remember, you'll have two weeks – until August 9 – to complete your threads. Have fun!

RANKING SYSTEM CHANGES... You may start to notice some drastic changes with ranks in the packs as we integrate some major changes into the system. The most obvious difference is that we're moving back to the old-fashioned Greek alphabetical hierarchy. The biggest, change, however, will be in how ranks are determined. We're moving away from the system we have now, which rewards people based primarily on their activity and post count, and we're transitioning toward a system that's based more on IC actions and accomplishments. Details will be posted soon, so stay tuned!
EDIT: Click here to read all about the changes to our ranking system!

The Salvajes del Norte, a line of jagged, sawtooth peaks which soar into the heavens with picturesque beauty, form the northernmost wall of the Salvaje Mountains Valley.

Hugged on the north and south by the majestic Salvaje Mountains, the Salvaje Valley is a lush, sprawling landscape which could best be described as "paradise." Lush woodlands, gently-rolling hills, vibrant marshes, and crystalline waters, surrounded on all sides by stunning mountain peaks create the perfect setting for packs to grow and thrive.

To the east of the Salvaje Valley lies the Sabbia Valley, composed mostly of spacious fields, rolling grasslands, and dense, mysterious forests. On the valley's easternmost edge lies a particularly special treasure – a field of sweet, ruby-red wild strawberries which can be found nowhere else in the Salvaje Mountains Valley. Far more open and spacious than the neighboring valley to the west, the Sabbia Valley truly is a place where one can feel free and unrestrained.

Spanning for miles east to west and cleanly dividing the Salvaje and Sabbia Valleys to the north and the Neve and Hielo Valleys to the south is a range of soaring cliffs, crags and bluffs. A natural spring lays claim to the westernmost reaches while mountains stretch away into the east. The easiest way to access the valleys on either side is to range beneath the mountains' breadth and traverse the tunnel, though the more daring traveler might scale Nova Mountain's treacherously steep backside or navigate the rough but much more navigable terrain of Mount Firefly.

Of all the areas known to the residents of the Salvajes, the land beyond the Salvajes del Sur is by far the most mysterious. Separated from the Hielo Valley by the serpentine Shangri-La River, the Neve Valley's northern border is cradled by mountains whose peaks climb like cathedral spires forever toward the stars. Largely wooded, with numerous waterfalls, shrouded ridges, and dew-kissed grasslands, the Neve beckons to explorers yet never reveals too much. Formerly the home of the Ho'nehe wolf tribe, it is often said that a strange air of mystery, enchantment, and darkness hangs over the land; sometimes, particularly at night, those who live here often get that prickly feeling like they're being watched...

If the Neve Valley is mysterious, the Hielo Valley to the south and west is even more enigmatic. Separated from the Neve lands by the great Shangri-La River, the Hielo Valley is bordered on the west and south by titanic peaks, soaring cliffs, and the magnificent Summerstorm Canyon. It is not an easy place for residents of the northern territories to visit in the warmer months, as the River is deep, wide, and swift, making it dangerous to cross. Those that do make it, however, are rewarded by the vast, sweeping beauty of this unique place, from the steamy springs of Ponderosa Basin, to the crimson summertime glory of Scarlet Gilia Dale, to the cliffs of Summerstorm Canyon that will take your breath away. Prey flourishes here, and the relatively small predator population in the Valley makes it one of the most bountiful hunting grounds in the lands.
